The 1947 Musigny Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru continues to drink beautifully, though since this was our last bottle, I don't know if or when I will ever encounter it again. Wafting from the glass with aromas of dried griotte cherries, Indian spices, musk and vine smoke, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and sensual, with an ample core of sweet, sun-kissed fruit, lively acids and an unerring sense of harmony.
