The natural cherry wood colour of this whisky, with its aromas and flavours, reflects maturation in first fill Spanish oak sherry casks. The nose is well-balanced, with aromas of chocolate orange, dried fruits and a hint of clove. On the palate flavours of citrus, clove and sweet raisin and a wisp of peat. The finish is of sweet fruits and spices, lightly peated. First bottled in 1975 as a 15 years old, this 1960 Macallan was carefully re-bottled by hand in 2009 to grace the Fine & Rare collection.
