This was a solid Bourgogne, as one would expect. The nose was typical Coche, with sweet stone fruited accents and perfume white flowers lined with a real streak of flinty, chalky minerality. The palate glided in and out of readiness, sometimes showhing tight and even a bit alcoholic, at others more opened and giving, with plump stone fruit and more transparent toned, all this lined with a touch of citrus acidity and a nice minerally trail that led into a slightly lingering finish. Solid stuff, with quite a few years still left under its belt.
