The 2018 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a dense, quite opaque bouquet that demands coaxing from the glass, reluctantly revealing sultry blackberry and wild strawberry scents laced with rose petal and potpourri. The medium-bodied palate offers fine-grained tannins that frame the mineral-rich black fruit laced with orange peel and ferrous notes toward the persistent finish. Very good potential here. A serious Echézeaux. (Neal Martin, Nov 2019, 93-95 Pts)
