From the Grand Cru Pfersigberg, the 2016 Pinot Noir Grand P is from a 40+-year-old vineyard picked on September 30. Fermented with 15% whole bunches and aged in barriques for 16 months (25% new, the rest one year old), this is a highly elegant and delicate Pinot with floral notes and cherry flavors, expressing the Pfersigberg terroir with great purity and persistency. On the palate, this is a highly delicate yet intense and aromatic Pinot with a fine acidity and tannin structure and a very well integrated toastiness. Very juicy on the finish. Tasted October 2018.
